Alarm Management

Alarm-Management

With the optional alarm management system, all measured values recorded by MiDASS can trigger an alarm when limit values are exceeded. The system also alerts users to the failure of connected devices and sensors. Email notifications are suitable for service personnel and can also be used via an XML interface for connection to ISO 50001 portals with integrated alarm management systems or to external, commercially available trouble ticket systems. The alarm system complies with industry and mobile communications guidelines and standards, such as those defined in ETSI X733. For each measured value, an upper and lower alarm can be defined, each consisting of an alarm raise and an alarm clear event. To prevent false alarms, hysteresis and a time delay are defined (see below).

The following parameters can be assigned to each alarm:

  • Priority (Warning, Minor, Major, Critical)
  • Alarm Identifier (establishes the relationship between a raise and clear event)
  • Alarm Class (For statistical evaluation or the storage of work instructions)
  • Freely definable text, one each for the raise and clear events.
