BACnet IP/MSTP Server (Slave)

All measured values ​​recorded by RmCU/MiDASS can be transmitted to controllers or portal applications with a BACnet interface via the optionally integrated BACnet IP/MSTP server in RmCU/MiDASS.

BACnet IP/MSTP Client / Master

The BACnet IP/MSTP client integrated into MiDASS allows data to be read from any BACnet IP/MSTP controllers, which can then be made available via Modbus Gateway process control systems or passed on to energy management portals via CSV or XML files.

BACnet Broadcast Management Device (BBMD)

BBMD is used when BACnet controllers are distributed across multiple logical or physical IP networks and are to be operated in a Point-to-Multipoint or Multipoint-to-Multipoint environment. The BBMD, which is optionally integrated in MiDASS, is used to send broadcast messages from the local subnet to other subnets in BACnet systems, or to receive broadcast messages from other subnets and forward them to the local subnet. When sending messages in the Point-to-Multipoint configuration, up to 10 other BBMDs can be used. Especially in+ WAN environments, the use of OpenVPN is mandatory in order to meet the requirements of ISO 27001 and the EU Data Protection Regulation.

Beispiel: Deployment of BBMD in an IP network secured via OpenVPN to connect decentralized BACnet systems to a control center with a BACnet interface via mobile network. The OpenVPN server also operates as a router in this case.


Wireless BACnet

Wireless BACnet extends the BACnet protocol for wireless communication. This extension allows the exchange of control and monitoring data between different devices and systems without physical cabling. This simplifies the installation and expansion of automation systems.
