Indoor Climate Monitoring with LoRaWAN – Simple and Flexible
With our new complete indoor climate monitoring package, we offer a straightforward solution for the wireless measurement of room temperature and humidity. The package includes a preconfigured MiDASS LoRaWAN base station and the corresponding temperature and humidity sensors. Optionally, the collected measurements can be displayed in a clear and intuitive dashboard, complemented by automatic alerts when predefined thresholds are exceeded.
The MiDASS LoRaWAN base station is delivered fully preconfigured, including all associated sensors and data transmission settings. For commissioning, the base station only needs to be installed at a suitable location, connected to a 230 V power supply, and provided with network connectivity. This can be achieved via a LAN connection or alternatively through a mobile network connection with OpenVPN.
For seamless integration into existing building management and control systems, the complete package offers a choice of communication interfaces: Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, MQTT, or BACnet IP/MSTP. This allows the collected measurements to be easily integrated into existing systems for further processing.
An optional dashboard for visualizing the collected measurements is available. It provides a clear overview of current temperature and humidity readings as well as their historical trends. Upon request, the visualization can be individually customized to meet specific customer requirements. In addition, individual temperature and humidity thresholds can be configured, enabling automatic alert notifications when these thresholds are exceeded or fallen below.
This makes the system particularly suitable for indoor climate monitoring in office buildings, administrative facilities, and other properties.
